Swing/Lindy Hop Dance Venues in the Bay Area

On the left hand side of each page of this site is a listing of the San Francisco Bay area's current swing dance venue, where you can social dance and or take lessons.

NOTE: Some venues may offer classes on different nights, so please check their websites for more info.

Lessons are important to learn the basic steps as well as important partnering concepts. These are your basic dancing vocabulary.

To complement lessons, and to truly improve your skills, you must go out social dancing.

It is an entirely different experience than dancing in a class setting. In class, both you and your partner know what steps are supposed to be next.

In a social setting, you'll quickly discover how to improve your leading/following because you will need to pay attention to your partner and not your feet :-)

As it were, in the Bay Area, you can find a place to Lindy practically every night of the week. And for daytrippers, there's free swing dancing in the great outdoors at Lindy in the Park.
